Peak Valley Housing Association supply and manage social housing in the Hattersley and Mottram area. Peak Valley is a subsidiary within Contour Housing Group and is a charitable organisation. Contour Housing Group is one of the largest housing and regeneration organisations in the North West owning and managing over 20,000 properties throughout 27 local authority areas.
Peak Valley was registered with the Housing Corporation in 2006, following the transfer of 1725 dwellings from the City of Manchester. The Hattersley and Mottram estates were built during the 1960’s.
On the date of transfer 1404 tenanted properties transferred to Peak Valley. In addition to these properties, Peak Valley manage a further 169 properties on behalf of Contour Homes and a further development of 14 new bungalows has been completed on started on site.
The structure of Peak Valley was developed and agreed with a steering group of Hattersley residents, Tameside council members and officers, Manchester City council officers and the Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership.
